The Lumen Codex
One light
does not move.
Before charts, before engines, there were the Wayfinders — an order who crossed dark water and darker sky guided by a single promise. They called it the Fixed Lantern. Every other star wheels overhead through the night; that one holds its place, and so it can hold yours.
Their enemy was never an army. It was the Veil — the slow grey glow of our own making that creeps up from the cities and quietly erases the stars, one by one, until a child can look straight up and see nothing at all.
Raise your phone. The sky is still there.
